The Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) have discussed the issues of cooperation and collaboration on news collection, dissemination and use in diverse sectors. The KMC Spokesperson and Chief of Information and Communications Division visited the RSS central office on Tuesday and held discussions with RSS office-bearers for institutional cooperation. On the occasion, RSS Executive Chair Dharmendra Jha proposed the KMC officials for further cooperation and collaboration between the two organizations. Jha shared with the KMC officials about the RSS news impacts and urged the KMC to put its further trust on RSS news while drawing the KMC officials' attention to extend arms for further collaboration. KMC Spokesperson Nabin Manandhar said that the proposal from the RSS for collaboration and cooperation should be taken into implementation sooner. Chief of Information and Communications Division Namaraj Dhakal said that cooperation with RSS could be on social, cultural, information technology and other areas beyond information dissemination. RSS General Manager, Siddharaj Rai, chief reporter Uttam Silwal and chief editor Yek Raj Pathak and others stressed for the practical implementation of the proposal for deepening cooperation between the two organizations.
