The ongoing vaccination programme in Kathmandu has been halted as the Vero Cell vaccines against COVID-19 set to be administered with its first dose till July 17 have expired.
In a statement issued by the Health Office, Kathmandu, Chief Public Health Administrator Badri Bahadur Khadka has asserted that the vaccination programme scheduled to be held till Saturday, July 17 has been postponed since the vaccines presently possessed by the authorities have expired.
The Vero Cell vaccination drive had been launched with the decision taken by the Ministry of Health and Population on July 12 and the District Vaccine and Monitoring Committee, Kathmandu, on July 13 to conduct the vaccination programme from July 13 to 17.
The vaccination programme has been postponed till further notice.
