The vaccination drive against the coronavirus pandemic has resumed in Chitwan district from today. The vaccination campaign is being organised in all the municipalities of the district.
According to the District Public Health Office, Chitwan, all people above the age of 55 years will be administered the vaccines against COVID-19 today and tomorrow. It has informed that all those who are interested to receive the vaccine need to bring along their citizenship certificate or any other identification paper issued by the government.
Similarly, the teaching staff of government, private and community schools will be administered the vaccines on July 18. Chief of the District Public Health Office, Chitwan, Deepak Prasad Tiwari, mentioned that all the teachers who come to receive their vaccinations must furnish their identity cards and a recommendation letter from the education office of their respective municipalities.
Meanwhile, the health office has said healthcare workers, bank employees, civil servants, security personnel, and local representatives who had missed out on the vaccination earlier will also be provided with the vaccines. Tiwari mentioned that those coming for the vaccination will have to furnish a valid identification card.
He added that those travelling to foreign destinations where vaccination is a must will also be administered the vaccines. However, the respective people will have to come to the vaccination centres with their passport which has been stamped with the visa of the concerned country.
Meanwhile, drivers and co-drivers of public transportation vehicles will also be allowed to receive the vaccines but they will have to furnish their driving licence and a recommendation letter from the concerned authority.
