Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has emphasized the development of the Nepali film industry to get its wider presence at the international level.
Calling for enabling an environment for Nepali people living in foreign countries to get access to Nepali movies, the minister expressed the hope that the Nepali movies based on Nepal's peculiar arts, culture, and geography could find their space in the international market.
He was addressing the 16th annual general assembly of the Nepal Films Producer's Association (NFPA) here on Saturday. He also stressed the need for the welfare and security of film producers and artists of the country and for making Nepali films known to the globe. On the occasion, he congratulated and extended his best wishes to the newly-picked office bearers of the NFPA.
