The second-largest Muslim holiday, Bakra-Eid, is being observed today. It is celebrated on the 70th day of Ramadan or Eid al-Fitr. The government has decided to provide a holiday in observance of Eid-al-Adha, according to a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs published in the March 10 issue of Nepal Gazette. On this day, Muslims take a morning bath, visit the closest mosque, and participate in a group prayer to read the Namaj.
