Under the coordination of World Record holder Mount Everest Climber and Goodwill Ambassador of Ilam Municipality Kalpana Maharjan, the work of making a climbing route on Mahabhir Rock in Ilam Municipality Ward No. 8 is underway.
The lead of fixing the route was done by Nar Bahadur Astani, an international mountain guide. Sujan Gurung, Thupten Lama and Sajjan Ghale are among the collaborators. Its management is being done by the Rock Climbing Tourist Area Promotion Development Committee, Ilam Municipality.
Climber Kalpana Maharjan has given the information that under the financial management of Ilam Municipality and Tourism Board, 6 different grades of routes are being made on the rock in Mahabhir.
