The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian honor of the United States.

President Joe Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to recipients representing diverse accomplishments across different fields. Simone Biles, an Olympic gold medalist, Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc, Senator John McCain, and actor Denzel Washington were among the 17 Americans who received the honor.
