Afghan security forces have seized a large amount of arms and ammunition in east Afghanistan's Parwan Province, an official said on Sunday.
According to provincial administration spokesperson Sayed Hikmatullah Shamim, during the operations in the province's Jabal Saraj district, 140 rounds of BM1 bullets, six boxes of M24, thousands of bullets and explosive devices, and some other illegally possessed ammunition were found and seized by the security forces.
In a similar crackdown last week, weapons caches were discovered in Wardak Province.
The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to recover arms and ammunition from anyone living outside security organs since taking over power in 2021.
