Afghan security forces have arrested four persons over involvement in terrorist activities in the eastern Wardak province, a local security official said Wednesday.
"Acting on tip-off, security forces conducted a search operation in the provincial capital Maidan Shar city on Tuesday, arresting four individuals for being involved in terrorist activities," a provincial counter-terrorism official Qari Abdul Saboor Hammad told media.
According to the official, the security forces have recovered six AK-47 rifles, a rocket launcher and an amount of ammunition from their possessions.
