Coronavirus infection has doubled in the far-western states. The infection was confirmed in 120 people on Thursday. Earlier, only 55 people were infected on Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, 1,368 samples were tested using PCR and antigen methods across the state and the infection was confirmed in 120 people, according to the health directorate.
12 were confirmed by PCR and 108 by antigen. The infections have been confirmed in 10 people at Mahakali Hospital, two in Seti Provincial Hospital, 60 people in Kanchanpur, 47 in Kailali, and one in Baitadi through PCR.
In the last 24 hours, six people have been cured across the state. Not a single person has died due to the infection in the state during that period. Earlier on Wednesday, 55 people were confirmed infected in the state and five had recovered. In the far west, 614 people have died so far due to the infection.
