Tokha Municipality will be conducting a free health examination of 6,575 students studying in public schools within the city. In the current fiscal year, under the children's program, the municipality is going to conduct a free health check-up for students studying in 10 communities and three alternative schools.
Khagendra Singh Dhami, the education officer of the municipality, informed the government that under the children's program, the students studying in all public schools will receive a free health check-up with the deputy chief. "During the medical examination, the nose, ears, throat, teeth, heart, pressure, blood type etc. will be tested. If a complex disease is found during the test, it will be recommended to other hospitals", he said.
Tokha has allocated a budget of Rs 2 million in the current year to run the program.
