The Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla district and Memorial University Newfoundland in Canada have entered into an agreement for bilateral cooperation in the area of health services, education, and research.
Academy's Vice-Chancellor Dr Mangal Rawal and Memorial University's Vice-President Margaret Steele on Tuesday signed the MoU to work together in various areas of cooperation for five years.
After the agreement, the faculty members will coordinate efforts in exchange for various publications, research materials, students, information, and research materials among others, according to Karnali Academy.
Administrative support and capacity-building related projects will be implemented in both institutions as per the agreement that is valid for up to five years and an extension on the MoU could be considered with the consent of both parties.
The visiting delegation from the Memorial University made an on-site observation of the Academy.
