The 27th Annual Conference of the Nepal Orthopedic Association, an umbrella organization of orthopedic surgeons from across the country, has started in Chitwan. More than 100 research papers, including seven foreigners, are being presented at the two-day conference.
The conference is attended by 90 orthopedic surgeons and around 500 experts from home and abroad. Central President of the Association Dr Rabindralal Pradhan, Former President Dr Deepak Mahara, Central General Secretary Dr Binod Sherchan, Scientific Committee Coordinator Dr Shailaj Ranjitkar, Chairman of the Organizing Committee & Chairman of the Association Dr Suresh Pandey, Member Secretary of the Organizing Committee Dr Pramod Lamichhane and others spoke.
Member Secretary Dr Lamichhane said that the program is expected to provide intellectual support to increase the level of services provided in the orthopedic category through all the hospitals across the country. He said that the findings of the research and the presentation and discussion of the research paper will help the doctors to work in the coming days.
Stating that the doctors in Chitwan would be more benefited when the national-level conference is being held in the district, he informed that this kind of program is being conducted every year.
