Over 75,000 people fully vaccinated in Baitadi

More than 75,000 people in the Baitadi district have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus. According to Chandan Subedi of the Baitadi health office, 75,345 people have been vaccinated in the district.

The first dose of the vaccine was given to 89,984 people. According to the latest details, 15,402 people have been vaccinated in the first dose and 18,356 have been fully vaccinated in Dasharathchanda Municipality. In Dilashani village municipality, 15,283 people have been vaccinated for the first time and 8,443 people have been fully vaccinated. In Purchaundi municipality, 11,281 have been vaccinated with the first dose and 7,821 people have been fully vaccinated.

Similarly, in Melauli Municipality, 9,136 people have been vaccinated for the first time and 5,218 people have been fully vaccinated. 8,995 people have been fully vaccinated in Dogadakedar village municipality. According to the health office, 8,395 people have got the first dose and 3,337 people have got second in Sigas village. In Patan municipality of the district, 6,161 have been vaccinated for the first time and 8,753 people for the full dose.

In Surnaya village municipality, 3,718 people have been vaccinated for the first time and 4,092 people have been fully vaccinated. In Pancheshwor, 5,937 and 6,995 have been partially and fully vaccinated. In Shivnath village municipality, 5,136 people have been vaccinated for the first time and 3,735 people for the full dose. Chief of the Health Office, Baitadi, Yogesh Prasad Bhatta informed that vaccination of citizens above 18 years of age is still being done at all local levels of the district.

Meanwhile, in Baitadi, everyone above 12 years of age will be vaccinated against corona. A campaign to vaccinate the citizens above 18 years of age is underway in the district and now it is preparing to vaccinate children in the age group of 12 to 17 years. The government is preparing to launch a vaccination campaign for children in different districts of the country and also in Baitadi, said Harish Prasad Bhat, information officer at the health office. Children in the age group of 12 to 17 years will be given Moderna vaccines from December 21. The government has also requested to vaccinate all the citizens who missed the vaccination earlier.
