The Thawang Rural Municipality of Rolpa district has set up an oxygen plant at the rural municipality. The oxygen plant worth nearly Rs two million was provided free of cost to the rural municipality by the National Innovation Centre (NIC).
The oxygen plant was handed over by Umer Rai, a biomedical engineer at the National Innovation Centre, to Chairperson of the rural municipality Bir Bahadur Gharti Magar.
Chairperson Magar mentioned that the mini plant has been set up at the COVID-19 isolation centre and can generate oxygen even when there is no power supply. The plant can generate 65 litres of oxygen in a minute.
