Yeti Airlines starts air ambulance service in collaboration with Mediciti Hospital

Nepal Mediciti Hospital has signed an agreement with Yeti Airlines and Tara Air to provide air ambulance services to patients.

Nepal Mediciti Hospital has signed an agreement with Yeti Airlines and Tara Air to provide air ambulance services to patients. The pact was signed by the General Manager of Mediciti Bijay Rimal and Director of Administration of Yeti Airlines Anjan Badgami on behalf of their respective organisations.

Till date, patients in Nepal are being transported to hospitals during emergency cases through helicopters and chartered flights. However, Yeti and Tara will now offer regular air ambulance services for such patients. This service will also be helpful for transporting patients during the night.

During the agreement signing ceremony, Rimal said that Mediciti Hospital has been providing quality emergency and rescue services to patients through air and ground ambulance services, and this collaboration with Yeti Airlines is going to further enhance the services. He mentioned the hospital will provide first aid and rescue training to the airlines’ cabin crew and personnel involved in ground handling.

Meanwhile, Sudarshan Bartaula, Spokesperson of Yeti Airlines, said the company will be providing air ambulance services in sectors where it flies to. He added that if and when required the company will immediately convert its flight into an air ambulance service. Bartaula added that this service will be very helpful for patients of remote areas during this crisis created by the coronavirus pandemic.
