Police have arrested two Thai nationals from Tribhuvan International Airport with banned Indian currency. Among the arrested are 32-year-old Wanvisa Janatasan and 41-year-old Waraparn Khunsombat. A total of 294,500 Indian rupees has been recovered from them in four units of Rs 2,000 and 573 units of Rs 500.
He was on his way to Delhi from Kathmandu on a Vistara Airlines flight when he was checked on an X-ray machine and found banned Indian rupees with him. The Tribhuvan International Security Office said in a statement today that police were conducting further investigations.
