As banks and financial institutions started to invest loans in agricultural industries, registration of agricultural industries in Siraha increased. As those organizations have now started to invest loans in agricultural industries easily, the process of registering such industries, in the district has increased. Issues of 'load shedding' has also not affected the process much.
In the fiscal year 2078-79, 1,865 new industries were registered, out of which 1,243 were agricultural industries, according to the Office of Household and Small Industries. Head of the office, Dipendra Kumar Yadav informed that, among the registered new industries, 1,120 are related to agriculture, animal husbandry and fish farming, 71 are related to animal husbandry, 12 are related to fish farming, and 14 in the dairy industries, were registered.
Chief Yadav also mentioned that, 477 service industries and 145 manufacturing industries were also registered. Along with this, the number of domestic and small industries in Siraha has increased to 10,315, which includes 4,013 agriculture and forest products industry, 1,757 production industry and 4,715 service industry.
Similarly, in the year 2078/79, the revenue of one crore 81 lakh 33 thousand two hundred and ninety eight. Last year, 2077-78, 1,913 new industries were registered. The highest number of industries were registered in agriculture and forestry, 1,122, 655 in service industry and 186 in production industry. 1,18 animal, fish and agricultural industries, 54 animal husbandry and 17 poultry industries were registered in agriculture and forest products, according to the office.
According to Chief Yadav, local residents are attracted towards agricultural industries because the banks and financial institutions located in the district have begun to invest loans in the agricultural industry and the increasing load shedding does not affect the agricultural industry more than other industries.
