Health workers in Jhapa have handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister yesterday demanding 14 points. A team of health workers led by Bharat Khatiwada, president of the National Health Workers Association Jhapa, has sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the District Administration Office, Jhapa.

He demanded that the government should be actively mobilized to keep the morale of the frontline health workers high and provide regular and epidemiological health services as the Amicron variant is spreading rapidly at the community level.

In the memorandum submitted to Chief District Officer Chhavilal Rijal, all health workers and employees working in government, private, community, and study institutes should be provided minimum wage as prescribed by the government. It is mentioned that the infected health workers should be treated free of cost and insurance should be provided to the health workers and all the employees working in the health institution as soon as possible.

Dummer Ballabh Mishra, the central member of the association, said that the government has not provided full risk to the health workers who will be affected by the Kovid-19 epidemic. He said that the government should provide the facility immediately.
