The Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of 5 and 11 will arrive in June 19. According to Surendra Chaurasia, head of the supply management branch of the health service department, there is a schedule to bring 2.2 million dose of Pfizer vaccine in the first phase.
'Vaccines are not stored. We will distribute the vaccine from the airport as soon as it arrives,' said Chaurasia. Nepal has received 8.4 million doses free of cost through COVAX Facility. Earlier, the government had allocated Rs 6.5 billion for vaccination in the age group of 5 to 11 years.
According to the Family Welfare Division, 3.9 million children will be vaccinated against corona in two phases. In the first phase, 1.9 million children from 27 districts will be given first dose. Similarly, the second phase will be conducted in 50 districts.

From Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Madhesh Pradesh: Saptari, Dhanusha, Parsa, Siraha and Mahottari, from Bagmati Pradesh: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kavre and Sindhuli districts.
Similarly, vaccination program will be conducted from Lumbini province to West Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Banke, Dang, Kapilvastu and Bardiya, from Karnali province to Surkhet and from far western province to Kailali, Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura.
