Nepal Electricity Authority's 33 kV national transmission line has been connected in Kalikot. Earlier, a national transmission line of 11 kV was connected from Dullu in Dailekh to Jumla via Kalikot, but in addition to that, 33 kV transmission line has been connected.

Narayan Prasad Poudel, head of the Nepal Electricity Authority's Kalikot Distribution Center, said that 33 kV transmission lines have been connected in the past to supply electricity as per the demand of the people and the problem of voltage fluctuation in the 11 kV transmission line in Kalikot. "This will ensure regular power supply and no fluctuations in voltage," he said.

Along with this work, the work of extending the power transmission line from Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot, to the centre of all the municipalities in the district will move forward, said Chief Poudel. "National transmission lines have been connected in three of the nine municipalities of the district," he said. "Now, all the municipalities will have national transmission lines." In three out of ten districts of Karnali, the national transmission line has not been connected yet.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has allocated Rs. 25 billion for connecting national transmission lines in all the districts of Karnali in two years, said Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Executive Director Kulman Ghising. "The supply of electricity will be completed by connecting solar plants in Humla, Mugu and Dolpa districts which are not getting electricity at present," he said.
