A dialogue programme has begun in Janakpurdham to brainstorm on the enrichment of Maithili language, literature and art. Amidst a function held in Janakpurdham today, Madhes Province Chief Harishanker Mishra inaugurated the dialogue programme. On the occasion, Province Chief Mishra expressed his confidence that the programme would substantially contribute to publicity of Maithili language and literature. Chief Mishra thanked the host, Bimarsha Foundation, for organizing the event noting that such a programme would contribute to enhancing the Vedic tradition, art, civilization and culture of the region through Maithili which is the second most spoken language in Nepal. The two-day programme has a plan to brainstorm on the impressive history and present status of Janakpur, contemporary situation of Maithili literature, industry, watershed conservation, politics, potery conference, literary and cultural evening, informed Foundation's Chairperson Bibha Jha. On the eve of the programme, poetry recitation and cultural evening was also hosted on the Dasharath Pond premises in Janakpurdham on Friday.
