Regarding the security management of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on Sunday, November 20, a team including the Chief of Staff of the Nepalese Army Prabhuram Sharma held a meeting with the chief commissioner and commissioners of the Election Commission today.
On the occasion of the meeting held at the Commission's office at Kantipath, Chief of Army Staff Sharma informed about the operations being carried out by the Nepali Army for election security and clarified that based on the on-site inspection and information received so far, the security of the election is tight and the army is ready to play the role to be played in order to conduct the election in a safe environment.
Chief Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya praised the support received from the Nepali Army for printing ballots, transportation, checking and packaging of election materials, and delivering ballots and voting materials to the remote Himalayan districts as well as the deployed personnel for the management of election security.
