Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha informed that the government is preparing to bring the necessary vaccine against COVID-19 for children. Talking to media persons here today, he said that one hundred thousand doses of vaccine would be brought before Dashain.
The ministry is preparing to bring the 'Modonara' and 'Pfizer vaccines' needed for children. He said, “The necessary vaccinations for children have been ensured. The process of bringing the Pfizer vaccine has reached the final stage. Discussions are underway on how to store the vaccine as it has to be kept in extreme cold. ”
Minister Shrestha informed that preparations have been made to bring a complete vaccination against corona within the next four months. "Currently, students above 18 years of age and those above 45 years of age have been vaccinated," he said.
He informed that the short-term and long-term plans will be implemented after discussions with the doctors and management committee of Bharatpur Hospital and BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.
