Chinese Foreign Minister in Nepal

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Nepal on Friday leading a 19-member delegation.

Foreign Minister Wang has arrived in Nepal from New Delhi, the capital of India, for a three-day visit. Chinese Foreign Minister was received at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Poudyal, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hu Yanchi, Chief of Staff Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi, and others.

He arrived in Kathmandu via Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India and is visiting Nepal at the invitation of Narayan Khadka.

From the airport, he has reached Hotel Dwarika in Battisputali. No formal program is scheduled for Friday. But China-Nepal delegation level talks will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Saturday. After the talks of the delegation, a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation will be signed between the two countries.

A delegation of Foreign Minister Wang is scheduled to meet at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening, Foreign Minister Khadka will host a dinner in honor of his Chinese counterpart. And on Sunday morning, a courtesy meeting will be held with President Vidyadevi Bhandari at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas.

On Sunday evening, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (UML) KP Oli, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal will have a courtesy meeting. Foreign Minister Wang is scheduled to leave for Beijing on Sunday.
