Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Prasad Pandey appealed to the Province Assembly Members not to make unnecessary comments about federalism.
Stating that it was not possible to envisage a federal democratic republic without provinces, Chief Minister Pandey requested the province assembly members not to oppose the idea of federalism which was brought about by the dent of sacrificial movements.
Responding to the queries raised by the province assembly members on Sunday, Pandey expressed his qualm over their demand of scrapping the federal system and advised them to further strengthen federalism instead.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the ever-readiness of the coalition government's commitment to defend the nation's sovereignty and existence.
Similarly, four bills were presented for clause-wise discussion in Sunday's meeting. CM Pandey presented the proposal to send the bill relating to the formation, operation and terms of the service of the Province Civil Service and the Bill relating to the formation and operation of the local level service to the Province Affairs Committee for clause-wise deliberation. The proposal was unanimously approved.
Also, the proposals seeking clause-wise deliberation on the bill formulated to amend the Act related to the recommendation of decoration and felicitation and the bill formulated to amend Province Youth Act-2076 BS were presented in the thematic committees.
