Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Karnali Province Krishna Bahadur GC has said that the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) should play a leading role to counter the illusions in society.
At an interaction program on ‘Responsible Journalism and RSS’ Role’ organized by the RSS Karnali Province Office in Surkhet on Sunday on the occasion of the 62nd establishment day of the RSS, Minister GC said RSS’ leading role is inevitable to unveil the overall challenges of Karnali. “However, the RSS should develop itself from the existing status,” Minister GC added.
According to him, state and media collaboration is crucial for the development and prosperity of the country.
Likewise, the Chairman of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Karnali Province Committee Deviram Devkota said that the RSS should be transformed making it contextual.
Civil society leader Pitambar Dhakal, FNJ Surkhet chapter chair Lalit Basnet and other speakers expressed their views while offering feedback to the RSS for its better performance.
