Ward office building has been constructed in Machhapuchhre village municipality-9 of Kaski. The two-story building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 99.90 million in partnership with the District Coordination Committee and the village municipality.
The District Coordinating Committee has invested Rs. 59.94 million and the village municipality has invested Rs. 39.96 million in the construction of the building, said Ward Chairperson Durga Bahadur Chhetri. Earlier, the service was being operated from its own building in all the eight ward offices of the village municipality.
The office was jointly inaugurated by District Coordinating Committee Chief Wain Bahadur Adhikari and Village Municipality Chairman Karna Bahadur Gurung. Locals Ai Bahadur Tamang and Shri Kumari Tamang have provided one ropani of land free of cost for the construction of the building.
The construction of the administrative building of the village municipality has also reached the final stage. Chief Administrative Officer Bishnu Prasad Pokharel informed that a building is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 66.2 million.
