Candidates vying from Chitwan constituency no 3 representing the democratic-left alliance in the upcoming parliamentary elections have assured that they would go to people with trust.

At a press meet here today, they claimed that they would secure a victory in the upcoming November 20 election to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly due to the strength of the 'commitment paper' (election manifesto) and public confidence.

CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate for HoR election Dr Bhojraj Adhikari viewed that it was difficult to enable the election environment because it was harvest time for the farmers.

According to him, his party had held election campaigns at ward level too. Although the constituency no 3 in Chitwan was a favorable region for the democratic-left alliance, more efforts should be made to ensure victory for the alliance's candidates. "The discipline within the political party and confidence of people would determine the election result," he opined.

Similarly, alliance's candidate contesting from Province 3 (a), Prof Dr Suryakanta Ghimire, argued that the discipline within the party is imperative.

According to him, the media had the upper hand in influencing opinion among the public on whom to vote.

Likewise, constituency no 3 (b) candidate Thakur Dhakal said that the democratic-left alliance was needed for transformation of the nation as well as for the greater good of the people. Furthermore, he added that the victory for alliance was needed to safeguard the constitution and democracy.

Nepali Congress (NC) Chitwan District President Rajeshwor Khanal asserted that the role of NC leaders and cadres would be important to protect the current alliance formed in difficult circumstances.

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chitwan Coordinator Ramchandra Adhikari appealed to all party cadres and leaders to work for upcoming elections as, he argued, the intra-party issues were already resolved.

He viewed that the unity among the cadres and leaders in the party had given an impetus to the party for the upcoming election.
