The outbreak of dengue has been increasing in Hetaunda sub-metropolitan ward No. 4, 5, 10 and 11 for a few days. According to the health division of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city, about 40 people have been found infected with dengue in these four wards. Bhola Prasad Choulagai, health inspector of the division, informed that dengue patients are currently being treated in Chitwan's Bharatpur, Kathmandu and Hetaunda hospitals.
He also said that they are currently spraying the homes of every toll in Ward No. 4 and 5 to control mosquitoes and throwing frozen water around the houses. Similarly, the department is going to mobilize a team of health workers from the first week of next August to collect data for dengue disease detection in the villages of each ward, said Savin Neupane, spokesperson of the sub-metropolitan municipality.
He also informed that the anti-dengue medicine has been supplied immediately and a schedule has been arranged to distribute it to various houses in the area where the infection has spread within a week. Dengue patients were found in Ward No. 4, 5 and 10 even last year and a half ago.
