CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Jeevan Ram Shrestha has commented that the unfinished tower has not been operational yet even after its inauguration.
In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, he expressed his views on the priorities and principles of the Appropriation Bill for the coming Fiscal Year.
"It simply came to our notice then that some of the honorable people were of the opinion that we were in a hurry. But, the reality is not like that, should the tea shop owner near the tower see what he got after the inauguration or not? ” He said.
Janata Samajwadi Party MP Pramod Sah complained that the real farmers could not get the subsidy for agriculture. He said that even though priority was given to projects of national pride, those projects could not get real priority and budget allocation could not be made as per the need.
Rastriya Janamorcha MP Durga Poudel demanded that the budget be managed in such a way that prioritizes building a self-reliant economy and allow Nepali citizens living abroad to participate in the polls. Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party MP Prem Suwal argued that the US aid project MCC was not right.
On the occasion, CPN (UML) MP Bidya Bhattarai said that the dependent economy should be made self-reliant.
He opined that the government should give priority to the areas of entrepreneurship and implement the fundamental rights of the citizens by investing in health. Democratic Socialist Party MP Ekwal Mian said that policy arrangements should be made to protect the Chure and manage the proportional budget and make the development work effective.
Nepali Congress MP Divyamani Rajbhandari drew the attention of the government to pay special attention to the water crisis as development in this area is very limited.
