The final results of all the 12 local levels of Bajhang have been made public. Out of the two municipalities and 10 villages in the district, the Nepali Congress has six, the CPN (UML) three, the CPN (Maoist Center) two and the CPN (Unified Socialist) one at the local level.
Congress has won in Bithadchir, Surma, Mashta and Khaptadchanna villages and in Bungal and Jaya Prithvi municipalities. UML has won in Saipal, Talkot and Thalara villages. The UCPN (Maoist) has won in Durgathali and Chhavispathibhera village chiefs while the CPN (Unified Socialist) has won in Kedarsyu municipality.
Similarly, the Congress has won five seats, the UML two, the Maoist Center three and the Socialists two at the local level. Nepali Congress has won the post of deputy chief in Surma, Durgathali, Kedarsyu, Thalara and Vithadchir municipalities, UML in Talkot and Saipal municipalities, UCPN-M in Khaptadchanna and Mashta municipalities and Jaya Prithvi municipality. Out of 94 wards in the district, Congress has won 31, UML 27, UCPN (Maoist) 11 and UCPN (Maoist) 16 wards. Eight independent candidates have won in the district.
