The 'call center' set up by the Election Commission for the local level election to be held on 13 May has been formally brought into operation from today.
The call center has been brought into operation to address the queries and complaints of the citizens, voters and stakeholders in connection with the election.
The commission has a four-digit toll-free number in operation this time keeping in mind the interest of the service recipients. Nine people have been deployed in the call center.
Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has directed the ones manning the call center to address the queries politey. The Commission has been operating a call center during elections so that the person or organization concerned with the election can get immediate information of the facts they need.
"The commission has been paying special attention to ensure that all the voters get free and easy information on voting and to vote for the candidate of their choice without any fear," he said.
