A fire broke out at Mansha Thaifoods in Duhagadhi of Jhapa's Mechinagar Municipality-14 this morning. The fire has not been extinguished yet.
According to Lokraj Dhakal, district president of the Nepal Red Cross Society, the fire broke out at the industry at around 4 in the morning. Twelve fire engines from Jhapa, Morang, Ilam and Sunsari have been used to put out the fire. The fire has not been brought under control yet, said Dhakal.
A large number of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and locals are trying to put out the fire. Established in 2018 with an investment of Rs 1 billion, the industry has been producing noodles including Magmag and Akbare.
Buddhi Ghimire, managing director of the industry, said that all the goods in the factory were destroyed by the fire. He said that there was no loss of life due to the fire.
