Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has expressed the commitment of the Government of Nepal to support the freedom of speech and press and the empowerment of the media.
At the National Conference of Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (ACORAB)
He said that the current government is committed to recognize the media as a national service industry.
He said that facilities will be provided by classifying mass media on the basis of small, medium and large investments. He explained the government's commitment to establish mass communication training institutes at the union and state levels.
He informed that a journalism development fund will be established for the health, accident and riot or terror insurance of all journalists.
