Two hundred and forty-six houses have been constructed in Tanahun under the Janata Awas program. Houses are built for people who are poor and unable to build houses due to economic conditions. Dhanmaya Mishra, Information Officer and Engineer of Infrastructure Development Office Tanahun informed that houses have been built under Janata Awas program in all 10 municipalities of the district.
He said that after the public housing program was transferred through the federal government in the financial year 2075-76, the infrastructure development office started building houses. Among the constructed houses, there are four in the second tranche, 52 in the third tranche and 142 households in the final tranche. A budget of Rs 1 crore 57 lakh has been allocated for this program.
