Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha asserted the incumbent government would not back track from the campaign of good-governance at any cost.
At a programme organized by CPN (Maoist Centre), Parsa chapter yesterday, DPM Shrestha expressed his commitment to continue the anti-corruption drive spearheaded by the incumbent government despite the challenges.
According to him, corrupt people, smugglers and fraudsters had been on the prowl to thwart the government's good-governance campaign since the government initiated investigation and action against those involved in corruption, irregularities and smuggling.
The DPM vowed, "The government will not be deterred by anyone's threat and obstruction. Rather, the government will move ahead by launching an impartial investigation and bring the culprit to book."
According to him, the government had taken forward its works by prioritizing good-governance, prosperity and social justice which would ensure quality changes in the living standards of the people.
DPM Shrestha, also the senior Vice-Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre), instructed the party's cadres and leaders to reach out to people by forgetting intraparty disputes and differences.
