The government has announced a public holiday on Poush 27 on the occasion of the Prithvi Jayanti.
A meeting of the council of ministers held this evening decided to give a public holiday on Poush 27, according to Minister without Portfolio Rajendra Rai.
“Today’s meeting took two decisions. One is giving a public holiday on Poush 27 on the occasion of the Prithvi Jayanti. And the next is approval of the government’s common minimum program and taking it to implementation,” Minister Rai said.
The cabinet decided to announce the public holiday on Poush 27 by addressing a demand of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), one of the ruling alliance parties.
Likewise, the common minimum program of the government announced earlier today also includes the issue of giving a public holiday on Poush 27.
