Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the anti-corruption campaign has already kicked off in the country and the incumbent government was firm on this mission.

Addressing the gathering of the party cadres and inaugural of the three-month organizational strengthening campaign organized by CPN (Maoist Centre) Karnali Province Committee in Birendranagar, Surkhet on Monday, PM Dahal reiterated that the incumbent government took action for good-governance and against corruption.

According to him, the public's confidence over his party has increased after his government tightened its noose against corruption and crimes. "The performance of the government was evident from the action taken against culprits in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, Lalita land grab scam among others."

Furthermore, he claimed that the incumbent government has provided parentage in addressing problems related to passport and license among others. The PM stated that millions of Nepali migrant workers abroad were brought under the ambit of the social security scheme to ensure financial security for them in future. "At present, 350,000 Nepali migrant workers abroad are benefitted from the social security scheme," he added.

He argued that if 4 to 5 million Nepali labourers working in foreign land were roped in the scheme, it would mean social justice in a real sense.

As for alleged involvement of his party's leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Mahara's son in the gold smuggling scam, the PM said that concerned authority was open to conduct investigations into it.
