The government is preparing to move forward with the Citizenship Bill. Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called the chief whips and party representatives of all political parties on Monday and said that he is ready to move forward with the Citizenship Bill.
PM Dahal has said that the government is preparing to bring a dozen bills, including citizenship, to the parliament in the current session.
According to this, the PM said the instructions have been given to the relevant ministers and he promised to enact a citizenship law within 6 months at the House of Representatives meeting while asking for a vote of confidence.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, bills have been prepared on citizenship, good governance, transitional justice, education, and health. The relevant ministries have been instructed to prepare the bills to be taken to the House.
