The government has directed the concerned bodies and businessmen to make petroleum products and daily necessities easily available.
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, who is also currently doing Prime Minister's work, has instructed not to increase the prices of essential commodities, not to stop the sale and distribution and to make petroleum products easily available. Home Ministry Spokesperson Phanindra Mani Pokhrel said that the government is ready to solve the problems of the entrepreneurs through dialogue. But if problems are created and shortages are created, the government is bound to take action according to the law. ”
According to him, Minister for Mines has given instructions to the secretaries of the concerned ministries including the Home Ministry today and accordingly, the House has directed to send a circular report to the Chief District Officers of all the districts. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also asked all 77 district administration offices to send monitoring and reports through the market monitoring committee from Sunday after complaints of unnatural increases in prices of daily necessities increased. According to Home Spokesperson Pakhrel, the monitoring committee headed by the Assistant Chief District Officer will monitor the situation and send reports to all the districts.
Similarly, the ministry has been directed to monitor the supply of consumer goods in the market, control inflation and other issues in coordination with the Federation of Nepali Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Entrepreneurs' obstruction in the import of petroleum products was agreed upon only on Saturday, but the government is still monitoring why the problem has not been resolved as long lines of consumers are seen at petrol pumps in the valley. It has been found that most of the pumps have no petrol.
Home Minister Khan, who is also the caretaker Prime Minister, thanked the businessmen for coming to an agreement to solve the problem of petroleum products and said that the government was ready to solve the problems of the businessmen through dialogue.
