According to a recent decision of the Medical Education Commission, Jumla too will be able to start providing MBBS courses from now onwards. The Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Jumla, has received permission from the commission to start MBBS courses.
The meeting of the Medical Education Commission held on Saturday took a decision to this effect.
Information Officer at the commission, Semanta Raj Koirala, informed that permission had been granted to Karnali Academy of Health Sciences to start conducting MBBS classes and that the course will be started within the new academic calendar of the next fiscal year. He mentioned that there had been a delay in granting permission due to the COVID-19 but classes would resume in the new academic calendar. He said that the academy has been given permission for 25 seats.
