Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said social exploitation, injustice and inequality must be ended and poverty reduced in the country.
At a programme organized to welcome the newly elected working committee of the party-affiliated trade union here Wednesday, just distribution of production is imperative in socialist system. Equal opportunity to all people helps reduce poverty, he believed.
The former prime minister further viewed socioeconomic transformation of the country could be ensured with optimum use of means and resources available in the country. It contributes to national development and economic prosperity, he said, urging the newly elected working committee of trade unions to pay heed to collective interest and welfare and rights to workers.
Moreover, Chairman Nepal reminded that his party had internalized the major principles of communism which posits that the country's development is possible with upliftment of workers, labourers and working class.
The new working committee has the leadership of Bishnu Lamsal. He demanded that the government raise salaries to the workers both in government and private sectors.
