Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has stressed the need for establishing a socialist system for the country's development and people's prosperity.
At a program organized by All Nepal Women's Association here Saturday, Chairman Nepal viewed discrimination, oppression, and corruption could be eliminated from society once the country established socialism. He argued that his party's organizations had a socialist character. Socialist education could help the country achieve development and prosperity, Chairman Nepal underlined.
Nepal urged the party-affiliated organizations to move ahead with concrete action plans. He lauded the role played by women in every movement waged for political change in the country.
Chairman Nepal also stressed increasing women's presence in policy and decision-making levels.
