According to the latest results of the Kathmandu Municipal Corporation's vote count (7 pm), independent candidate Balendra Shah has maintained his lead. According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, he received 402 votes out of a total of 1,180. Shah, who has taken the lead from the beginning, has been increasing the differences.
According to the latest results of the counting of votes in the National Assembly, CPN (UML) candidate Keshav Sthapit has received 319 votes. He is 83 votes behind Shah. Nepali Congress leader Sirjana Singh, who is contesting for the top post from the coalition, has got 202 votes. She is 200 votes behind Shah. RPP candidate Madandas Shrestha has got 53 votes.
Kathmandu District Election Officer Prem Prasad Poudel informed that the counting of votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan 1, 2, 3 and 32 is underway. Out of a total of 300,242 voters in Kathmandu metropolis, 190,170 votes were cast.
Similarly, CPN (UML) candidate Sunita Dangol has taken the lead in the post of deputy chief of the metropolis. According to public opinion polls, she received 530 votes. Similarly, Rameshwar Shrestha of the CPN (Unified Socialist), who is contesting from the same alliance, has got 110 votes.
