Even after the start of the new academic session, textbooks have not been adequately provided in Baglung. Students have not been able to get textbooks even though the district started the classes since May 8. Students are confused as textbooks are not available even though schools are operating regularly.

Rudrepipal Secondary School, Vidyamandir Secondary School and Kalika Kanya Secondary School in the district headquarters lack textbooks more than the schools in remote areas of Baglung. Sanskar Gautam, a student of Vidyamandir Secondary School, said that he was facing problems in his studies due to the lack of books.

According to Yojana Thapa Magar, a student studying in Rudra People's Class 10, old books have to be read together with friends as new books are not available now. He said that due to the Corona Pandemic, they were not able to study for about two years and now the government has not been able to manage the textbooks in time.

Students studying in the district headquarters have not yet received the textbooks, while students in remote areas are not likely to get books anytime soon. Rudrepipal Mavic Principal Rajesh Shrestha said that it was sad that the students could not get the textbooks. He said that textbooks have not yet arrived in the schools of the district headquarters, adding that they will not be able to reach the remote villages any time soon.

"Rudrepipal, Vidyamandir and Kalika Kanya secondary schools in the district headquarters have not received textbooks so far. We have seen problems in reading," said Shrestha." It is necessary to deliver the textbook as soon as possible. ” he added.

The Education Development and Coordination Unit has requested the booksellers to bring textbooks in the district. Only half of the students in the district have received textbooks so far, said Kushmaraj Upadhyaya, head of the coordination unit. "We have requested the booksellers to bring the textbooks on time," said Upadhyaya. "We are confident that the textbooks will reach all the schools soon." There are 573 community schools in Baglung, including 514 community and 59 institutional schools. Although the institutional schools received textbooks, the community students received partial textbooks.
