Man arrested for forging PCR reports

Police have arrested a man from Mechinagar Municipality-6 for making fake PCR reports, along with his laptop and various equipments. The arrested is Pema Tamang, director of Ringji Tour and Travels at Mechinagar-6, Kakarvitta, said District Police Office Spokesperson Basanta Pathak. Police have also recovered two laptops and a printer from the office.

While checking the emails on the laptop used by operator Tamang, the official letter pads of Mechi Provincial Hospital Bhadrapur, Kankai PCR Lab, V&C Hospital, National Public Health Lab Teku Kathmandu, and others were digitally scanned and a file containing corona negative was written on the PCR report, said Pathak.

Similarly, during the investigation, it was found that Tamang had digitally scanned and edited the target seal of Nepal and various government and non-government offices (Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal, Inland Revenue Office, Bhadrapur, etc.).

He was arrested on the basis of special information and is placed in the custody of Area Police Office, Kakadvitta for seven days.

According to the report, Nepalis who go to different places in India and other countries for work and Indians who return home after staying in Nepal for a long time are charged Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 5,000.
