A total of 519 students will be inducted in the second graduation ceremony of Midwestern University on Tuesday. The university will also award gold medals to five faculty students on the occasion.
A convocation ceremony is being organized at the central office premises of the university at Birendranagar Kuinepani in Surkhet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University Sher Bahadur Deuba and the chief guest of 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel will also be present at the ceremony, said Dr. Liladhar Tiwari, Coordinator of the Convocation Ceremony Publicity Sub-Committee. A meeting of the University Assembly (Senate) will be held before the graduation ceremony.
152 students of humanities and sociology faculty, 122 students of management, 85 students of pedagogy, 15 students of science and technology and 145 students of engineering are being inducted. The university is about to initiate graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students. Earlier, the first graduation ceremony of the university was held on July 3, 2017 AD.
