Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Koirala pointed out the need of reforming the judicial system of the country.
Responding to queries put forth in course of deliberation on a bill prepared to amend some acts against sexual violence-2079 in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister Koirala shared, "There is a situation to reform the entire judicial system. The laws against sexual violence need to be enacted timely."
He opined that the bill was introduced to replace the ordinance considering the seriousness of the crime related to sexual violence.
The amendment proposal on the bill was brought on compulsion mainly due to circumstances arising from a particular social event, added the minister.
The Law Minister said, "The government has started a study on serious matters. Let's allow the government to study. But now let the replacement bill be enacted. The Law Commission has been carrying out studies on other issues including time limitations.
