Minister for Home Affairs, Communications and Law in Madhes Province, Mohammad Samim, said creative cooperation from media is essential for the government to work actively for people.

During a discussion with representatives of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Madhes Province Office on Monday, Minister Samim viewed the government and government agencies should act responsibly.  Media plays an important role in making the government accountable, he added.

All sides' cooperation is imperative to solve the problems facing Madhes Province and people. "Cooperation from RSS and other media will make the government successful. The weaknesses pointed out by the media would be paid attention by the government. As a line minister, I'm ready to work being close to RSS," Minister Samim reiterated.

He further made it clear that development of news agencies like RSS should be the priority of the provincial government. "I've thought about strengthening the RSS, and further plans will be made by holding discussion with you," he shared before the RSS team.

On the occasion, RSS Province Office Chief Tika Ram Sunar congratulated Minister Samim for the post and informed him about the services RSS provides.

Sunar informed the Minister that RSS was planning to expand its service by incorporating local language in its news service. Dissemination of news bulletins in the dominant language in the province was planned by the RSS and assistance from the provincial government was sought to this end, Sunar reminded.
